Location & Arrival

Our hotel in the Kitzbühel Alps

Our hotel is located in Mühltal, between the villages of Oberau and Auffach. In Mühltal, you’ll find, among other things, the entrance to the “Kundler Klamm” natural gorge. You can walk to Auffach along the "Wildschönauer Ache" River in 10–15 minutes.

Just a short distance behind the hotel is the riding stable with an adjacent indoor riding arena. You can watch the horses in the paddock from the hotel rooms and the swimming pool. We’re also a great starting point for mountain bike tours, hikes, and much more—we’d be happy to provide you with information on-site!

Arrival

How to get to Tirol

By train

Right at the entrance to the Wildschönau high valley lies Wörgl Central Station, where all trains stop. The travel time map gives you an idea of the excellent connections available. It shows travel times from major European train stations. To find the fastest connections and the best prices, check out Trainline.

Postbus

A Postbus line also runs hourly between Wildschönau and Wörgl Central Station. The stop is located right in front of our hotel and bears our name: "Mühltal in Wildschönau, Haflingerhof."

Free train station shuttle

We support sustainable travel! That’s why we’ll arrange your transfer from the Wörgl train station. The ride takes 15–20 minutes. This offer applies to hotel bookings of 3 nights or more.

  • Book your room through our hotel website
  • Let us know your train connection
  • We’ll arrange the transfer for you

By car

Getting here by car is easy and takes you directly to Wildschönau, right to our Haflinger farm.
Free parking is available right at the hotel.

Coming from: Munich
From Munich or Vienna, take the A12 highway to the Wörgl Ost exit. From there, continue to the large intersection in the town center (100 meters past the church) and turn left onto Wildschönau.

Tip:

No vignette required when coming from Munich
You can drive to the “Kufstein-Süd” exit without a vignette. From there, simply take the regular road to Wörgl. This is permitted even when road restrictions are in place—which are imposed during peak season to prevent detour traffic. In Wörgl, turn toward Wildschönau.

Coming from: Innsbruck
Take the A12 to the Wörgl West exit, then head toward the city center and turn right at the large intersection onto Wildschönau.

Next: The route to Wildschönau
Follow the road into Wildschönau. After passing through the first villages, Niederau and Oberau, you’ll come to Mühltal as you head further into the valley. Here, turn left after the bridge; you’ll find us on the right after about 300 meters.

Electric on the road

There are two 22 kW charging stations available for your electric car right at the Haflingerhof. This allows you to conveniently charge your vehicle during your stay.

Please note that you will need your own Type 2 charging cable for this.

By airplane

If you’re traveling by plane, the easiest way to reach the Haflingerhof is via the airports in Innsbruck, Salzburg, or Munich. From there, you can continue your journey to Wildschönau by rental car, by train to Wörgl, or via a shuttle service.

Traveling via Wörgl is particularly convenient, as the train station has excellent connections and is only about 15 to 20 minutes away from the Haflingerhof. Upon request, we’d be happy to provide tips for the most convenient route.

Accessibility

It is very important to us to make our hotel inclusive for everyone. For every renovation project, we undergo a voluntary accessibility assessment (our new accessible entrance and restroom are not yet included in this assessment; the link will be updated shortly). We are striving to achieve full wheelchair accessibility as soon as possible. Access to the hotel’s basement is barrier-free. The elevator located there (not wheelchair-standard size: 99 x 107 cm) serves all floors. There is a wheelchair-accessible restroom.
