On trail rides through the natural beauty of the Wildschönau high valley, riders experience their own personal moments of joy in the saddle.

Hotel guests and visitors from outside the hotel are warmly welcome. Riding lessons, trail rides, and pony rides are also available to locals and day visitors, subject to availability.

Prices for riding lessons at the Haflingerhof
Tickets for riding lessons can be purchased at the hotel front desk either individually or as part of a discounted package. The individual tickets included in the packages are transferable and can be split among participants.
One ticket is valid for a 50-minute riding lesson in the indoor arena or for a one-hour trail ride. Longer trail rides are billed by the hour, with one ticket required per hour.

Riding vacation in the Wildschönau
The Haflingerhof in Wildschönau is a family-friendly equestrian center in Tyrol with its own stables, indoor riding arena, and well-trained Haflinger horses. Located between Oberau and Auffach in the high valley of Wildschönau, the farm is an ideal starting point for trail rides and day trips. Hotel guests have a wide selection of rooms and suites to choose from, can enjoy regional cuisine, and have the flexibility to combine riding activities with their vacation.
For beginners and children, we offer riding lessons in small groups, with a focus on safe and respectful interaction with the horses. Advanced riders can explore the surroundings on daily rides, sporty cross-country rides, or special experiences such as the alpine pasture ride or the breakfast ride.
The little ones get their first taste of riding while ponyback—accompanied by their parents.

Questions & Answers
Welches Reitlevel habe ich?
Damit wir dir das passende Pferd und Angebot zuweisen können, schätze bitte dein Können realistisch ein:
Du hast wenig bis keine Reiterfahrung.
Du sitzt vielleicht zum ersten Mal auf einem Pferd oder bist bisher nur geführt geritten.
Grundlagen wie Lenken, Anhalten oder Gleichgewicht sind noch neu für dich.
Du kannst dich bereits selbstständig im Sattel halten und sicher traben.
Lenken, Anhalten und einfache Bahnfiguren gelingen dir ohne Hilfe.
Im Galopp hast du wenig oder noch keine Erfahrung.
Du bist ein sicherer Reiter und kannst dein Pferd in allen Gangarten kontrollieren – auch im Galopp.
Du hast Erfahrung im freien Reiten und kannst dein Pferd selbstständig führen und einschätzen.
Dieses Level ist Voraussetzung für Ausritte ab 6 Jahren.
Ponyreiten / Ponyführen:
Für Kinder von 2 bis 5 Jahren möglich.
Eine verantwortungsvolle Begleitperson ist erforderlich, idealerweise zwei Begleitpersonen.
Wichtig für Ausritte:
Für unsere Ausritte ist eine Kennenlern-Hallenstunde verpflichtend, damit wir Pferd und Reiter optimal aufeinander abstimmen können.
Alternativ kann beim Almritt auch ein gültiger Reitnachweis (z. B. Reiterpass oder Großes Hufeisen) vorgelegt werden.
Allgemeines:
Grundsätzlich sind Hotelgäste und externe Gäste herzlich willkommen.
Für Reitstunden in der Halle gilt in der Regel ein Mindestalter von 6 Jahren.
Welche Ausrüstung brauche ich zum Reiten?
Bitte unbedingt mitbringen:
- Helm (Helmpflicht – ein kostenloser Verleih ist direkt im Stall möglich)
- Festes Schuhwerk (idealerweise mit kleinem Absatz)
- Lange Hose, am besten ohne Nähte an der Innenseite der Beine, um Scheuerstellen zu vermeiden
Zusätzlich empfehlen wir:
- Reithose
- Handschuhe
- Rückenprotektor (besonders für Kinder empfehlenswert)
Reitsport-Shops auf dem Weg:
Krämer in Irschenberg (nahe München), Krämer in Thaur/Innsbruck sowie Equiva in Innsbruck. In Wörgl (ca. 20 Minuten vor der Wildschönau) führt außerdem das Raiffeisen-Lagerhaus ein kleines Sortiment an Reitbekleidung und Zubehör, z. B. Hosen, Handschuhe, Helme und Rückenprotektoren.

Hinweis: Unser Reitprogramm planen wir tagesaktuell. So können wir uns nach Wetter, Auslastung und Wohl der Pferde richten.

Wie lange dauert eine Reitstunde?
Eine Reitstunde dauert ca. 50 Minuten.
Bitte planen Sie insgesamt mehr Zeit ein, damit genug Raum für kurze Instruktionen, Zuteilung des Pferds, Putzen, Hufe auskratzen und Satteln bleibt.
Ausritte werden stundenweise geplant (z. B. 1, 2 oder 3 Stunden).
Frühstücksritt und Almritt sind längere Touren (je nach Angebot ca. 2–4 Stunden bzw. 5–6 Stunden).

Wie funktioniert das Preissystem (Tickets)?
Reitstunden und Ausritte rechnen wir in der Regel über Reittickets ab:
- 1 Ticket entspricht 1 Reitstunde in der Halle oder 1 Stunde Ausritt.
- Für längere Ausritte werden entsprechend mehrere Tickets benötigt.
Ponyreiten / Ponyführen ist ein Fixpreis (½ Stunde).

Findet Reiten auch bei schlechtem Wetter statt?
Reitstunden in der Halle sind wetterunabhängig möglich.
Ausritte sind vom Wetter abhängig. Wir bestätigen daher kurzfristig und planen so, dass es für Gäste und Pferde passt.
Was bedeutet „Kennenlern-Hallenstunde“?
Bei Ausritten und besonderen Touren möchten wir, dass Pferd und Reiter gut zusammenpassen.
Die Kennenlern-Hallenstunde hilft uns dabei:
- Ihr Können richtig einzuschätzen
- Das passende Pferd zu wählen
- Sicherheit und Spaß im Gelände zu gewährleisten
Muss ich Hotelgast sein, um teilnehmen zu können?
Nein. Auch externe Gäste und Einheimische können Reitstunden, Ausritte und Ponyführen buchen, je nach Verfügbarkeit.
Hotelgäste haben bei hoher Nachfrage immer Priorität, deshalb empfehlen wir eine frühzeitige Vormerkung.
